Very True
Thoughts from Victor David Hansen
We do not know when we hit peak wokeness—only that no constitutional republic can long exist in a climate of McCarthyite fear and anti-racism racism. I wrote about this crux for next week’s American Greatness (“Anti-Racism Racism”) in a long essay that will appear on Monday. It refutes the idea that a white supremacist ideology stifles all the aspirations of the non-white, and explains why the current racialization of dialogue and weaponization of 0debate have a bad history.
One of the most disturbing developments is the recalibration of the military.
None of us can remember the Pentagon ever going after an individual journalist in the fashion of the recent attack on Tucker Carlson, both in its press secretary’s remarks and on the DOD website, especially in lumping him in with the Chinese communist military. Ferreting out supposed white insurrectionists in the ranks, appointing diversity overseers in critical branches of the military (especially Special Forces contingents), and lowering physical standards for combat units will not end well. It is redolent of the Soviet commissar system and will require a great deal of misinformation and disinformation to sustain its continuance.
The military, or rather its beltway brass, seems oblivious that it is insidiously eroding its traditional conservative foundations of support. And soon it will be at the mercy of a mercurial Left. The latter, only for the moment, fawns on the chain-of-command, which by fiat can implement progressive social awareness agendas. But the Left is never satiated. Radical progressives have greater designs on the military, envisioning it as a sort of People’s Army that will serve as the tip of the cultural revolution’s spear.
All of us are also equally worried about the increasing revolving door habit of top generals and DOD officials retiring onto the boards of large corporate defense contractors, and often revolving back into civilian service at the DOD. Is there any serious refutation that these lifelong public servants are being hired largely for their familiarity with and influence upon the bidding process within the Pentagon? This is no charge of impropriety, but rather of a Caesar’ wife dilemma, in which our retired brass, given their influence within the serving military and in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, must be above suspicion. Again, the politicalization of the active and retired high-ranking military is opening an entire can of worms, about which the Pentagon for now is absolutely clueless.
LSU from Mike Bianchi’s view
LSU should face SEC penalty
By Mike Bianchi
Just once in college athletics wouldn’t you like to see fellow conference members become publicly outraged and embarrassed at despicable, disgusting transgressions that happen in their own league?
For instance, wouldn’t it do your heart good if the 13 other schools in the Southeastern Conference all got together and voted passionately and unanimously to suspend LSU from the league at least temporarily for being morally bankrupt?
It’s absolutely shameful that what transpired at LSU just came to light eight years — eight freaking years! — after the Tigers successfully and intentionally buried the disturbing allegations of inappropriate sexual misconduct, sexual advances and sexual harassment of female students by former football coach Les Miles.
And isn’t it pathetic that it was Kansas that actually had to clean up LSU’s mess a few days ago by firing Miles and the athletics director (Jeff Long) who hired him? LSU, like so many cutthroat, win-at-all-cost institutions of higher earning, was willing to ignore the creepy, repugnant allegations against Miles just to protect the brand and keep its national championship-winning football coach out of trouble and recruiting five-star talent.
Sadly, the only reason the Miles allegations came to light is because USA Today reporters aggressively began to investigate the systematic failures of how LSU handled, er, mishandled cases of physical and sexual violence against women on its campus. Because of USA Today’s investigative reporting, LSU was pretty much forced to hire the outside law firm of Husch Blackwell in November to conduct an investigation, which detailed “serious institutional failure” on how LSU handled allegations of rape and dating violence.
Husch Blackwell also found that the reason LSU intentionally hired another independent law firm eight years ago to investigate sexual harassment charges against Miles is so the report wouldn’t be made public.
That’s right, LSU intentionally swept the abhorrent behavior of Miles under the rug. The school even went against the recommendation of its own athletics director at the time, Joe Alleva, who strongly urged the school to part ways with Miles after the coach was accused of contacting female students via Facebook and text, meeting them off campus alone and kissing at least one of them.
In the recent Husch Blackwell Report, LSU staffers accused Miles of suggesting that female student employees who helped chaperone top high school prospects during their official recruiting visits “needed to have a certain look.” That look, according to the employees, included the women being “blondes with big boobs.” If the female students didn’t fit a certain physical profile, Miles suggested that perhaps they should be fired.
One of the most disturbing parts of the Husch Blackwell Report focused on longtime athletic department employee Sharon Lewis, who told investigators of an incident in 2013 she described as her “worst nightmare.”
It seems a female student came to Lewis, according to the report, “very upset about something that happened when she was alone with Coach Miles.”
The student then asked Lewis to help her in confronting Miles with the allegations. Another athletic department employee sat in on the meeting with Lewis, Miles and the female student and said the student was “completely traumatized” by the alleged incident, saying, “This child had a dead stare … she just kept saying, over and over, ‘You know what you did to me.’ ”
Alleva, the AD, penned a letter to then-school president F. King Alexander back in 2013 in which he wrote of Miles, “I believe he is guilty of insubordination, inappropriate behavior, putting the university, athletic department and football program at great risk. I think we have cause (to terminate him). I specifically told him not to text, call or be alone with any student workers and he obviously didn’t listen. I know there are many possible outcomes and much risk either way, but I believe it is in the best interest in the long run to make a break. … One more time I want us to think about which scenario is worse for LSU: Explaining why we let him go or explaining why we let him stay.”
Now, eight years later, LSU is having to explain why they let Les Miles stay.
Yes, the Tigers would end up firing Miles a few years later; not because of his repulsive behavior but because he went five seasons without winning the SEC West. Miles ended up at Kansas, where he was fired last week when the allegations against him at LSU became public.
Long, the AD who hired Miles at KU, was also fired.
The board of trustees at Oregon State, where Alexander is now the school president, will meet Wednesday to discuss whether he should be suspended or even fired.
But at LSU, nobody’s been fired for what happened within the football program eight years ago
Meanwhile, LSU basketball coach Will Wade is getting ready to lead his team into this week’s NCAA Tournament despite his program being under NCAA investigation and Wade being caught on tape admitting to cheating and bribing players to sign with the Tigers.
LSU isn’t just morally bankrupt.
The program is ethically destitute.
The university and the SEC should be ashamed.
Great post to consider!
Something worthy of reposting::
It’s not the police who need to be retrained, it’s the public. We have grown into a mouthy, mobile phone wielding, vulgar, uncivil society with no personal responsibility and the attitude of ‘it’s the other person’s fault, you owe me’. A society where children grow up with no boundaries or knowledge or concern for civil society and personal responsibility.
When an officer says “Put your hands up,” then put your hands up! Don’t reach for something in your pocket, your lap, your seat. There’s plenty of reason for a police officer to feel threatened, there have been multiple assaults and ambushes on police officers lately. Comply with requests from the officer, have your day in court. Don’t mouth off, or fight, or refuse to comply… that escalates the situation.
Police officers are our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters. They’re black, white, brown, all colors, all ethnicities, all faiths, male and female, they are us. They see the worst side of humanity… the raped children, the bloody mangled bodies of traffic victims, the bruised and battered victims of domestic violence, homicide victims, body parts… day after day.
They work holidays while we have festive meals with our families. They miss school events with their kids, birthdays, anniversaries, all those special occasions that we take for granted. They work in all types of weather, under dangerous conditions, for relatively low pay.
They have extensive training, but they are human. When there are numerous attacks on them, they become hyper vigilant for a reason, they have become targets. When a police officer encounters any person… any person, whether at a traffic stop, a street confrontation, an arrest, whatever… that situation has the potential to become life threatening. You, Mr & Mrs/Miss Civilian, also have the responsibility of keeping the situation from getting out of control.
Many law enforcement officers are Veterans. They’ve been in service to this nation most of their lives, whether on the battlefield or protecting us here at home. They are the only thing that stands between us and anarchy in the streets.
If you want to protect your child, teach them respect.”

A different election analysis
Wayne Root is a Vegas legend.
By Wayne Allyn Root
I’ve been a Las Vegas odds maker and sports gaming expert for four decades- long before I became known as a nationally syndicated conservative talk show host. I understand odds and gambling in a way that no other conservative media personality, host, or politician in this country could.
And I can tell you something is very wrong with this presidential election. It reminds me of a fixed football game. Remember the famous fixed 1978 game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants quarterback handed the ball off. The running back didn’t want it. It fell on the ground. Herm Edwards of the Eagles picked it up and ran it into the end zone with seconds left for a last second victory. Every bettor in the world knows that game was fixed. It doesn’t matter if you can prove it. We all know.
Gamblers also feel the same way about this presidential election. This presidential election is rancid. It feels as fixed as that Giants-Eagles NFL football game. Let me give you the details of this election- from a gambler’s perspective.
Trump entered the night a 2 to 1 underdog. As soon as the polls started to close and the picture became clear, Trump’s odds quickly moved to even money. Then Trump became the slight favorite. Then a moderate favorite. Then a 2-to-1 favorite. Then 3 to 1. 4 to 1. 5 to 1. 6 to 1. 7 to 1. Finally, Trump moved to 8 to 1 favorite.
What does all this mean? Bettors putting their money on the line during Election Night have always proven to be deadly accurate. Smart bettors can clearly see what direction a race is taking. Bettors around the world clearly saw what I saw, when they stared at the electoral map- Trump was headed for an electoral landslide. But something wasn’t quite right. Fox News wouldn’t call Florida for Trump- even though he was ahead by a mile. They wouldn’t call Ohio- even though Trump was ahead by a mile, They wouldn’t call Texas- even though Trump was ahead by a mile. I sat there screaming at my television.
More strange calls. Fox News had called Virginia for Biden at the start of the night- with Trump well ahead in Virginia. Trump would remain ahead in Virginia for three long hours after Fox awarded the electoral votes to Biden. Why would they do that? What was the rush? It made no sense.
Biden was awarded Virginia with Trump ahead. But Trump was ahead by a mile in Florida, Ohio and Texas, yet Fox News refused to award him the electoral votes. I knew at that moment, something was wrong. Something smelled fishy. Something was rotten in the DC Swamp.Bettors witnessed Trump dominating. He clearly won not only those key states of Florida, Ohio and Texas, but Trump also enjoyed large leads in the entire Midwest- Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. It was all but over. Trump had an electoral landslide. Hence the massive 8 to 1 odds in favor of Trump.
And then it happened. It was the most bizarre call in Election Night history. Fox News called Arizona for Biden. Why? It wasn’t even close to over. There was no reason on earth to make that call. Arizona is STILL not over 8 days later. CNN still hasn’t awarded Arizona. ABC pulled it back from Biden only 24 hours ago.
Why would Fox News be in such a rush to call Arizona for Biden? At that moment, Trump’s odds crashed almost instantly from 8 to 1, back down to 2 to 1. That drop set off alarm bells. My friend who is one of the biggest bookmakers in the country called me to say, “Wayne, something is wrong. I’ve never seen a drop like that, let alone a drop that fast. How can Trump go from 8 to 1, to 2 to 1. Someone knows something. We’ve got a problem.”
It was as if someone had decided in advance to give Arizona to Biden- whether he won it, or not. It was as if the secret code was known to only a few billionaire gamblers, “Fox News awards Arizona to Biden.” Six magic words. Someone was ready for that call. Someone waited until Trump was a prohibitive 8 to 1 favorite, then knew to bet millions of dollars on Biden at the longest odds of the night. Someone knew the fix was in. Someone made a fortune.
There’s more to the story. First, by awarding both Virginia and Arizona to Biden way too early in the evening and also going super slow awarding states to Trump where he led by a mile, Fox News made sure Biden had the electoral lead all night. That’s another big part of the story. Just like the fake pollsters suppressed Trump voters for months in advance of the election with polls falsely showing Trump losing by a landslide, fake “news desk” employees sure appeared to be suppressing Trump votes on Election Night. And also creating an air of invincibility for Biden. If Biden led in every poll before the election, and led all night in electoral votes, then it wouldn’t look like a fix was in, when Biden suddenly wound up the winner the morning after. Right?
One more piece of the puzzle. From almost the moment that secret code “Fox News awards Arizona to Biden” was spoken, three key Midwest battleground states with Democrat Governors all decided to stop counting votes for the night, with Trump way ahead. Why? Why all three, at the same time? Like they were coordinated in advance. Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania all mysteriously quit counting around midnight.
To add to the idea of a fix, these states merely claimed they were stopping counting for the night. After TV cameras and Republican poll watchers were all sent home, these Democrat states all resumed counting, suddenly finding all the ballots they needed to overcome large Trump leads.
I actually took screen shots before I went to bed. Trump was winning Michigan by over 300,000 votes when they stopped counting. He was up in Wisconsin by over 100,000. In Pennsylvania he was up almost 700,000 votes. But in the wee hours of the morning I took a new screenshot. Suddenly Biden was up by 9,000 in Wisconsin and 30,000 in Michigan. How’d that happen? I thought they stopped counting?
It all started with that bizarre Arizona call by Fox News.
Folks, someone knew. The fix was in. A few key people made millions betting on this election. They knew the exact minute to jump in. They knew exactly when a Trump landslide would turn to a Biden victory, with the help of a fake TV network call and fake ballots.
They knew Arizona was going to be called way too early. They knew that fake Arizona call would trigger vote counting to stop and massive ballot fraud to begin.
I don’t know what the Supreme Court will decide. But bettors all over the world know in our guts exactly what happened. The fix was in, no different than that famous NY Giants-Philadelphia Eagle fix in 1978 at the Meadowlands.
Trump was robbed. This election was stolen.

Michael Moore’s Comments – UNACCEPTABLE
Left-wing documentary filmmaker and vocal Trump critic Michael Moore issued a series of social media posts praising the riots that have engulfed Minneapolis following the death of George Floyd — the 46-year-old African-American man who died after a white officer held his knee on Floyd’s neck for several minutes. In the posts, Moore specifically urges protesters to “demolish” the Minneapolis Police Department’s 3rd Police Precinct headquarters, accuses “White Minnesota” of telling the world that it’s “OK” to “murder” black people, and calls for open “revolt.”
In response to escalating riots in his city over Floyd’s death, Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey ordered that police “evacuate the Third Precinct.” By the end of the night, rioters had utterly demolished the building, while the Saint Paul Police Department reported that more than 170 businesses were “damaged or looted” and “dozens of fires” were set.
Amid the chaos Thursday night, Moore cheered on the “good citizens” for “burning down the evil police precinct,” demanded that “all police should go home,” and suggested that race should determine who is allowed in the police department.
“Good citizens burning down the evil police precinct in MN after all police were out [and] safe,” Moore tweeted Thursday night (posts below). “All police should go home. No violence please. Police HQ must be demolished by the city tomorrow as a show of contrition to black America. Rebuild PD with decent kind [people] aka [people] of color.”
