It was a brutal 2021 season for Florida, just one year after making the SEC title game. The Gators lost four of their final six to finish at 6-6 overall and then lost to UCF in the Gasparilla Bowl. That led to firing Dan Mullen and hiring Louisiana’s Billy Napier. Perhaps Napier is the fix that the Gators need but there are also some major issues that need to be addressed quickly if they are going to take down the defending national champions in the SEC East.
