GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After leading the Gators to a straight-set victory over Texas A&M, Marlie Monserez was named SEC Setter of the Week, as the conference announced Monday.
This is the fourth SEC Setter of the Week honor for Monserez and pushes her to 10 in her career.
The senior setter dished out 34 assists against the Aggies, averaging 11.33 assists per set in the win. Monserez led the Gators to a .438 clip, the third-highest hitting percentage of the season.
The Windermere, Fla. native also recorded four digs, three kills and two blocks against Texas A&M.
Monserez and the Gators are back in action on Wednesday, taking on the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Ala. First serve is slated for 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU with Courtney Lyle and Missy Whittemore on the call.
