Chandler Parsons injured

Atlanta Hawks forward and former Florida Gator Chandler Parsons was involved in a serious car accident on Wednesday at 2 p.m. He was traveling home from practice when he was struck by a driver who was arrested for driving under the influence. Three cars were involved in the crash, which occurred in a busy intersection.

Parsons suffered a number of serious injuries including a traumatic brain injury, a disc herniation and a torn labrum. The injuries are potentially career-ending according to a statement released by his attorneys, John Morgan and Nick Panagakis of Morgan & Morgan.

“Chandler was in peak physical condition at the time of the wreck,” the statement said, per Yahoo! Sports’ Chris Haynes. “He is now working with a team of doctors to regain his health, and at this time, his ability to return to play is unclear.

🏀 Coach White 100 wins 🏀

Coaching against his Alma Mater, Mike White became the fifth Florida Gators head basketball coach to win 100 games.
White joins Sam McAllister (170), Lon Kruger (172) and Norm Sloan (180), Billy Donovan (467) in the century club and White reached the milestone quicker than every other coach that isn’t going to have the court named in their honor this February.
It took White just 158 games to reach 100 wins at Florida — Donovan needed just 154 games. White’s .633 winning percentage is also just shy of Donovan’s .649 on the way to 100 wins.

🏈 Gators finish # 6 🏈

When Dan Mullen first led the Florida Gators onto a field as head coach his team was unranked.

So much has changed in two years.

Following LSU’s win over Clemson in the National Championship game, the Florida Gators were ranked No. 6 in the final Associated Press poll for 2019. It’s the highest the Gators have finished in the season end AP poll since 2009.
