The new-look Gators had a successful start to their season on Tuesday night at home winning 74-59 over the North Florida Ospreys. Fans who anxiously awaited their chance to get a look at graduate transfer Kerry Blackshear Jr. were rewarded with 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in what was an extremely successful Florida debut. Ultimately it was Florida’s defense and ability to create turnovers that allowed them to run away with this one as they held the Ospreys to 37% while also forcing 18 turnovers. Ivan Gandia-Rosa, playing for the third time in his career in Gainesville was a standout performer for the Ospreys as he ended with 6 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds.
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – A goal in each half sends Florida ahead to the Southeastern Conference Soccer Tournament semifinal round after a 2-1 victory over No. 16 Texas A&M Tuesday evening at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
Florida faces regular-season champion and No. 6 Arkansas in the first of Thursday’s semifinal matches. The Razorbacks advanced with a 1-0 quarterfinal win over Mississippi. That match airs live on the SEC Network at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The Florida Gators (7-2, 4-2) lost to the Georgia Bulldogs (7-1, 4-1) in Jacksonville on Saturday in game that was dominated by Georgia from the start.
Florida’s defense wasn’t able to get off the field on third down for much of the game and that was the difference for Georgia.
